About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Developer with solid commercial experience to build and scale payment-driven products. You will work on backend architecture, third-party payment integrations, and high-availability services, while collaborating with frontend teams using Next.js and React.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Laravel and PHP.
• Integrate and support payment systems, including payment providers, PSPs, and APMs.
• Build secure APIs and payment flows (authorization, capture, refunds, webhooks, reconciliation).
• Ensure reliability, performance, and observability of payment-related services.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers working with Next.js and React.
• Write clean, testable code and contribute to code reviews and technical documentation.
• Use modern AI development tools to improve delivery speed, code quality, and engineering productivity.

Required Qualifications

• 2.5–3+ years of backend development experience in production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel and RESTful API development.
• Proven experience integrating payment gateways / providers / PSP / APM solutions.
• Good understanding of transaction lifecycle, idempotency, error handling, and payment security best practices.
• Practical knowledge of Next.js and React for cross-team collaboration and API integration.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL), Git, and CI/CD workflows.
• Strong problem-solving skills and clear communication in a team environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience in fintech, e-commerce, or high-load transactional systems.
• Familiarity with PCI-DSS-aware development practices.
• Experience with queues, caching, and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) in daily engineering workflows.
