• Undertook high quality research in the area of small business in new Russia and with professional help registered my firm “Larissa” with the Moscow Registration Board.
• Worked as a director of my firm and supervised teaching assistants and other teaching support staff as required.
• Organized Russian language courses for foreigners who came to Moscow with a goal to improve their spoken Russian skills and to receive more information about radical changes in new Russia.
• The firm “Larissa” offered Russian language courses for two weeks or for one month and a few different sorts of services as well: visa support, meeting in airport or railway station, providing various places to live (for those who were eager to practice their spoken Russian further, the firm offered living with a Russian family), and arranged the schedule of excursions and assistance in business in Moscow.
• Participated in linguistic research in the area of teaching and learning Russian as a foreign language.
• Maintained regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
• Practiced teaching Russian as foreign language to business people at different multinational firms in Moscow, such as Price Waterhouse, KPMG, Bayer and others.

• Took risk and started work in an absolutely new type of business activity (new for a former Soviet Russia): conducted intensive private courses in Russian as a foreign language. There were students from different European countries, who came to Moscow not only to practice in Russian, but also to watch the radical changes in a former Soviet country.
• Prepared and delivered lectures on topics of current political and economic events in Russia.
• There were always highly motivated students and Russian language for some of them was the 6th or even the 9th foreign language. For such an audience it was very interesting work for me, I initiated, facilitated, and moderated classroom discussions.
• Took part in excursions to places of interest in Moscow and trips to other ancient Russian towns, regularly went with students to theaters and concert halls.
