Research Interest

• An expert in Nuclear Reactor Dynamics and Control conducting stellar research with MATLAB/SIMULINK and other
codes for dynamic modeling and simulation of nuclear reactor core . I model and simulate base on Spatial/Point kinetics
equation with lumped thermal -hydraulics model, Poison model, and Reactivity model to investigate the nuclear re actor
core's behavior.
• I have designed several control schemes such as Optimal control, Sliding mode control, and Hybrid control strategies
for nuclear reactor core power control for base load operation and in load -following operation for Xenon osciall ation
suppression .
• Investigation of neutron behaviors in a reactor using numerical solution of Transport equation, Diffusion equation, and
Reactor Kinetics equation s.
Work Experience

• I was part of a team of experts resp onsible for the Engineering, Procurement, Commissioning, and instal lati on of the Fu ll-
scope Generic Pressu rized W ater Reac tor S imulat ion System procu red by the I nternati onal Atomic Energy Agency for
Nigeria Atomic E nergy Com mission. I was trained as an instructor at the W estern Ser vices Corporation USA on the
Ge neric Pressu rized Wat er Reactor Sim ulation system.
• I was appointed as the lead Instructor in one of the two laboratories where the si mulat ion systems were installed. I
have trained more than 100 p eople on several components , s ystems, and functions of the various parts of a Nuclear
power p lant.
• I Conduct classroom and practical training courses for the staff and non -staff of the Commission. I have trained
more than 30 cadets of the Nigeria Military School on nuclear energy's peaceful application.
• I conduct and document training program and course effectiveness evaluations and report the Training Management
Team results.
• I developed experiments by creati ng scena rios base on normal operat ion, transient operations, and acci dent scenarios i n a
Nuclear power p lant.
• I participate in the management meetings and I participate in interdepartmental meetings for the overall management of
the Commission
Skills and Knowledge

• MATLAB /SIMULINK for control systems ana lysis. I have modeled the nuclear reactor core based on the Spatial and
Point kinetics equation for stability analysis and reactivity control of the core. I have designed various control strategies
such as Optimal control, sliding mode control, and Conventional control system to realize the load -following operation
of a nuclear reactor. I am presently working on Xenon oscillations suppression in the nuclear reactor core.

• I participated in an IAEA regional training course on Nuclear Power Infrastructure Development in Tokyo and other
locations in Japan. My knowledge of Nuclear power Technology was widened through knowledge acquisition from
various nuclear vendors such as Mi tsubishi Heavy Industry on PWR, Hitachi -GE on BWR, Toshiba Industry on GEN IV
reactors, and Waste Management plant. I also had training sessions at Tokai power plant as well as Tsuruga power plant
in Japan.
• A broader understanding of the 19 Nuclear Infrast ructure issues. I prepared some of the documents presented for IAEA's
INIR Mission for IAEA's Milestone achievement
• Improved knowledge in specific areas of nuclear safety, radiation protection, and emergency preparedness. This is due to
lessons learn ed from Fukushima Daichi Accident, including a visit to the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power station and
emergency preparedness center.
• I have in-depth kno wledg e of various energy sources, and I have been invo lved in ener gy policy formulat ion.
• I have knowledge of the Python programming language. I can use several Python libraries such as NumPy .
• I have used Programmable Logic Controller to design many projects, including a Traffic light, Flip -Flop, and Automatic
garage gate control system.
