BAKER HUGHES CANADA ALBERTA, CANADA
Directional Drilling Consultant 2008 - 2012
In late 2008, I returned to Canada to consult as a lead Directional driller for Baker Hughes Inteq. Canada was very busy and in high demand for experienced people. I mostly focused on complicated, non-conventional work, re-entries, rotary steerable
and HTHP wells, mostly for Talisman.
Performed diagnostic tests, determined issues down hole, and eliminated variables, arriving at the best solution to avoid additional time and money

COMPASS DIRECTIONAL SERVICES OVERSEAS
Directional Driller Consultant
Senior Directional Driller, Cuba Operations for Sherritt International 2007-2008
I worked in Cuba for 1.5+ years as a lead Dir. Driller. We rebuilt our own motors and MWD tools on location.
We would switch out power sections on 4 (3/4)" & 6 (1/2)" mud motors to new bearing drive bottom ends.
Senior Directional Driller, Tanzania Africa 2006-2007
Compass obtained another project in Tanzania in 2006 and because I was involved with the start-up in Russia, they asked me if I would change my rotation over to Africa and oversee things at this new location.
Senior Directional Driller, Baltic Sea Russia For Luke Oil 2005-2006
In early 2005, Compass management asked me if I would go to Russia and fire up the project, they got with LuK Oil offshore on the Baltic sea. I agreed and went over as the lead Dir. Driller. I assisted in logistics for shipping and receiving Dir. Tools as well as the day-to-day operations on the rig.

1000m directional wells with single shot running gear. After 6 months of chasing rigs I moved into drilling Directional
wells with MWD. After 2 years moved onto HZ's, re-entries and rotary steerable applications.
Accurately applied calculations using drilling surveys and Geologist feedback to land build sections and drill lateral sections per customer expectations
Utilized computer software as well as hand calculations to determine build section proximities and well-path projections to the client
Applied principles of BHA selection and aspects of Directional Drilling performance to ensure BHA's were assembled safely and as planned, including correct make-up torque, doping and handling
Prepared BHA performance reports containing detailed and accurate dimensions as well as expected versus actual performance, conclusions, and recommendations for each BHA run
