Duties:

• Translation of technical, commercial, legal and other Project papers, letters to the client, subcontractors, vendors (at least 10-12 pages per day);
• Consecutive and simultaneous interpretation at Project meetings with the client, subcontractors, vendors;
• Active interface with Project disciplines and departments to improve the quality of translation of technical, commercial, legal and other Project papers;
• Provide overall support to disciplines and departments on Project terminology.

Requirements:

• Excellent English is a must. Good communication in French/Arabic/Chinese is considered a strong advantage;
• Higher Education – Translation degree (a must), plus Technical/Finance/Legal degree (highly preferred);
• At Least 3 years of experience as a Technical Translator (oil/gas industry, construction, engineering, fabrication of steel structures);
• Very experienced user of MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Trados/CAT tool;
• Strong technical translation skills, excellent ability to present and communicate verbally, consecutive translation (a must);
• Simultaneous interpretation (a highly preferred skill).
