Company background:

• Family office with assets under management over $1 bln

• Works in a wide range of industries: natural resources, mining, real estate, FMCG, IT sector

• Represents interests of private investors on all stages of investment process from deal origination, execution, ongoing support and follow-on investments and exits

Operating environment:

• Reporting to VP Legal

• Close collaboration with investment department and finance/accounts department

Requirements:

• Law or economic degree from a reputable state university (MGU, MGUA, MGIMO, HSE, etc)

• 3-5 years post qualified experience (full time) in ex. Big 4 firm/international law firm/investment fund/international corporation

• Good knowledge of Russian Tax Code and international tax planning principals

• General understanding of accounting principles (RAS, IFRS)

• Fluent English, including legal and tax terminology

• Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

• Ability to deal with multiple tasks

Principal duties include:

• Evaluation of tax risks and provision of legal advice in connection to trans-border and onshore (within Russia) transactions such as M&A deals, finance transactions (loans, assignments, debt-to-equity swaps), corporate restructurings and various corporate procedures (issue or conversion of shares, changes to share capital, etc.)

• International tax planning, including Russian taxes

• Leading restructuring projects including group/ restructuring, finance (receivables and payables) restructurings

• Maintenance and administration of Group foreign companies

• Tax research and monitoring

• Liaison with external counsels and service-providers in various jurisdictions
