Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end and back-end development, cloud deployment, and Russia-specific digital services. You will play a crucial role in designing, building, and maintaining modern web and mobile applications, ensuring seamless integration with Yandex services, ELMA 365 workflows, and localized APIs. This role will collaborate closely with colleagues across Full Stack, Data, and Reliability Engineering, as part of the broader EMEA and Global Chapters.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Yandex Cloud services and ELMA 365.
• Implement and integrate Yandex Metrica, AppMetrica, and Video for analytics, tracking, and rich media experiences.
• Deploy secure web solutions leveraging Yandex Smart Web Security, Smart Captcha, and API Gateway.
• Build location-aware applications integrating Yandex Maps services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (UX, Data Engineering, Business Technology) to deliver scalable solutions tailored to the Russia market.
• Ensure compliance with Russian data protection and hosting requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testing strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions with both local and global colleagues.
• Stay current with Russia-specific technologies (e.g., VK Cloud, 1C integration, Russian fintech APIs) and apply them to business use cases.
• Support and guide external vendors or contractors, ensuring delivery aligned with global best practices while localizing for Russia.
• Drive the technical vision for the Product Group, working with Product Group Leads and BU Architect to align tech. strategy to business needs

· Participate in planning, definition, and high-level design of solutions used by Product Group and explore solution alternatives if current technology does not suit business needs

· Serve as an escalation point to problem-solve technical challenges and implement solutions, using the Product Group technology strategy as a guide; is also a “hands-on-keys” coder

· Manage risks, identify, and resolve technical impediments and cross-team dependencies, act as the point of escalation for product teams for technology issues

· Responsible for gathering and providing feedback for performance evaluations.

· Act as a point of escalation for resource issues, chapter member performance issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and back-end technologies (Java, Python, Node.js).
• Experience with Yandex Cloud services, ELMA 365, and integration of Yandex APIs (Metrica, Maps, AppMetrica, API Gateway, Smart Captcha, Video).
• Experience in building and integrating products with platform, data management, API architecture/design, and Cloud Native technologies
• Strong understanding of web application security, authentication, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Solid knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience managing tech priorities within the backlog and resolving dependencies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Russian enterprise platforms such as 1C or local fintech/payment APIs.
• Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and monitoring tools such as Grafana and Prometheus.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Knowledge of Russia-specific compliance and localization requirements.
