Responsibilities:

• The Release Train Engineer (RTE) will facilitate Agile Release Train (ART) events, ensuring the smooth execution of PI Planning, Iteration Planning, and Scrum of Scrums.

• They will ensure timely execution of critical ART events such as retrospectives, system demos, and inspect and adapt workshops.

• The RTE will collaborate across teams, acting as a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train.
  
  Obligatory:

• Experience and Skills:

  • Extensive experience in Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe, Scrum).

  • Proven experience in managing and leading Agile Release Trains (ARTs).

  • Strong facilitation skills to lead Program Increment (PI) planning, scrum-of-scrums, and other ART ceremonies.

  • Understanding of software development and product delivery processes.

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and resolve risks.

• Certifications:

  • Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or relevant Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Scrum Master, SAFe Agilist).

• Leadership Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills to drive ARTs and ensure alignment across multiple teams.

  • Ability to coach and mentor Scrum Masters and team members.

  • Excellent communication skills to facilitate collaboration among stakeholders and resolve conflicts.
    
    Preferably:

  • It is preferred that the RTE has experience in mentoring and coaching teams in Agile and Lean methodologies. Experience in managing complex cross-functional projects is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills. It is preferred that they have the ability to influence without authority and build consensus across teams and stakeholders. Prior experience with SAFe or other scaling frameworks is highly desirable. Familiarity with metrics and tools for tracking team performance, such as burn-down charts or velocity, is preferred.
