Commercial Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Financial Controller who plays a crucial role in driving business profitability, ensuring financial integrity, and supporting strategic decision-making within the sales and marketing functions
Reports to: Head of financial planning and analysis

Key Responsibilities:

Overall Performance Management:

Oversee and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure sales and marketing targets are aligned with Company’s long-term and operational plans

Business Cycle Management:

Planning: Participate in strategic and operational planning (LT Plan, Annual Budget, Quarterly targets setting), focusing on understanding key business drivers and financial outcome.
Performance Review: Prepare data and participate in regular commercial performance reviews (weekly, monthly) with business unit and company leadership, ensure timely and profound target gap analysis and corrective actions proposal and tracking
Tracking Key Commercial Drivers: Maintain reports and analyses on price, execution, distribution, and other key factors driving revenue and margin. Calculate and provide insights on different levers effectiveness (ROI analysis) – key accounts investments, TV and digital promotion instruments, other

Integration with General FP&A Cycle:

Provide robust inputs into the financial planning and analysis processes, including long-term planning, budgeting, latest estimates (LE) and management business reviews (MBRs)

Revenue and commercial margin Management:

Manage the net revenue line in P&L, including analysis and control over pricing, discounts and trade spend, as well as overseeing the commercial agreements

Develop and implement margin pool strategies and revenue management plans. Provide analysis and insights into their effectiveness to drive profitability and growth
Monitor customer performance relative to business drivers and ensure adherence to structured pricing models, identifying variances and ensuring corrective actions where necessary

Promotion Strategy and Measurement:

Evaluate promotional strategies, measuring their success and providing recommendations for future promotional efforts from financial stand point

Our expectations:

- Bachelor’s or MSc degree in Finance, Accounting, Performance Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, planning and performance management or a similar role. Experience in Pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Strong knowledge of commercial levers, cost management, and financial reporting

- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and variance analysis techniques

- AI tools experience in streamlining data management processing to free up time for value-added analysis
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling and cost analysis
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to dive deep into data to identify trends and insights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
