A young and ambitious board game publisher Remarkable Games LTD is looking for a Board Game Designer & Developer to take ownership of our core game systems — from initial concept to polished, market-ready experience. This role combines creative design with analytical development: you will design mechanics, refine them through iteration, and ensure balance through structured playtesting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design core game systems and mechanics from scratch
• Prototype and iterate on gameplay concepts
• Develop and refine existing game designs
• Balance game systems (economy, pacing, player interaction)
• Plan and conduct playtesting sessions (internal and external)
• Analyze playtest data and implement improvements
• Create clear and structured rulebooks and design documentation
• Collaborate with art, publishing, and marketing teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in board game design and/or development
• Strong understanding of modern board game mechanics and trends
• Ability to translate ideas into clear, functional systems
• Experience with playtesting and iterative design processes
• Analytical mindset with attention to balance and player experience
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently

Nice to Have

• Published or prototyped board games
• Experience with both casual and hobby game audiences
• Familiarity with tools for prototyping (Tabletop Simulator, print-and-play, etc.)
• Background in mathematics, systems design, or game theory
