• Ported to Windows platform for Visual Studio 6.0 compatibility and then used GLE Tubing and Extrusion Library version 2.3 (15DEC97) by Linas Vepstas for 3D manipulation of objects and shapes in OpenGL.
• Developed 3D graphical visualization preview of MultiCad 2000 objects (windows and doors) in OpenGL.
• The OpenGL preview supports zooming functions, object moving in a preview window, custom textures and interactive “window/door” frame opening/closing.

• QuickMap project is a GIS system, which consists of a set of various independent OCX components that could be placed in VB application; all these components communicate internally with QMView object.

• Implemented GIS data conversion from multi-sheet and multi-tile IT format.
• Implemented color palette reduction using dithering and color re-mapping methods.
• Implemented raster data import from (and export to) GIF, JPEG and BMP formats.

GeoNavigator
• Two separate versions of GeoNavigator were developed at the same time: Java version and JavaScript version as a demonstration-only sub-project for parallel QuickMap project. JavaScript version was a simple point-and-click version for older non-Java browsers, whereas Java version was more interactive applet with tool-dependent cursors and visible bounding boxes.
• GIS data was rasterized from vector representation and cached on server before serving to client using HTTP protocol.
• Implemented multi-language interface.
• Developed server-side ASP script that returned GIF image according to given parameters – the same ASP script was used for both (Java and JavaScript) GeoNavigator versions.
• Toolbar was separated from main viewing area and could be placed either vertically or horizontally, providing full visual data manipulation control.
• One web page could have several applets running side-by-side without interfering with each other.
• The following tools were developed for navigational toolbar: fit-to-map, select, pan, zoom-in and zoom-out.
• Notepad was used as JavaScript, HTML and ASP editing tool.
