Due to the business growth we are looking for Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team. This is a new role in our company. You will need to start working on your own and together with us to form marketing team from scratch (up to 3-4 people).
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Design and implement a global marketing and communications strategy aligned with the customers’ overall goals;
- Identify trends in shipping and logistics market, customer needs, and competitive landscape to drive positioning and differentiation strategies;
- Manage and oversee both internal and external communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, and company announcements;
- Manage and enhance the customers’ brand identities, ensuring consistent messaging across all touchpoints;
- Oversee the creation of impactful content and marketing collateral, including digital assets, brochures, presentations, and promotional materials;
- Implement brand guidelines to maintain a cohesive visual and verbal identity across all communications;
- Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, and website management;
- Drive digital transformation initiatives within the marketing department, using analytics and CRM tools to measure campaign effectiveness and optimize performance;
- Lead customer engagement initiatives to build strong relationships with clients, fostering loyalty and advocacy;
- Build and maintain strong relationships with international media outlets, industry publications, and journalists to enhance brand visibility;
- Develop press materials, including press releases, media kits, and Q&A documents, to effectively communicate customer news and updates;
- Develop and manage crisis communication plans to prepare for and respond to potential reputational issues;
- Conduct regular market analysis to assess competitive positioning, market share, commodities import and export volumes, and trends in the shipping and logistics industry;
- Collaborate closely with the commercial, sales, operations, and trade teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives;
- Manage external agencies and vendors, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency in all outsourced marketing and communication activities;
- Develop and manage the marketing and communications budget, tracking expenses and ensuring a return on investment across campaigns;
- Form, lead, mentor, and manage the marketing and communications team to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Background and experience
- 10+ years in marketing, with at least 5 years in management role within the shipping and logistics industry;
- English level - advanced (reguar cooperation with HQ);
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and cooperation within the team and across departments;
- Capability to make sound decisions under pressure and ensure team alignment with organizational objectives;
- Ability to articulate expectations clearly and provide constructive feedback to drive performance.
